Test Division. This Messerschmitt Me.262A-1a was
surrendered at Lechfeld and became part of Watson's Whizzers. It was used to test the reaction of jet aircraft to a wave off from an aircraft carrier. The airplane was retired in January of 1947 and placed into storage. |
