Marder III Ausf.M

Le chasseur de char, Marder (Martre) III fut produit en deux versions - Ausf.H et Ausf.M. La seconde était basée sur le châssis du Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf.M spécialement conçu pour une telle conversion. Le Marder III Ausf.M était armé du canon de 75mm PaK 40/3 L/46 antichar et actionné par un équipage de quatre hommes. Le compartiment de combat de l'Ausf.M était installé à l'arrière précédé par le compartiment moteur. Le compartiment de combat de l'Ausf.M était ouvert au dessus. L'Ausf.M transportait 27 séries de munitions. L'armement principal avait un pointage horizontale limité à 21 degrés de chaque côté. Pour sa défense rapprochée, l'Ausf M disposait d'une MG 34 de 7.92mm embarquée dans le compartiment de combat.

The tank destroyer, Marder (Marten) III was produced in two versions - Ausf.H and Ausf.M. The second was based on the chassis of Panzerkampfwagen 38(t) Ausf.M especially conceived for such a conversion. Marder III Ausf.M was armed with the anti-tank gun of 75mm PaK 40/3 L/46 and actuated by a crew of four men. The compartment of combat of Ausf.M was installed on the back preceded by the engine compartment. The compartment of combat of Ausf.M was opened on the top. Ausf.M transported 27 series of ammunition. The principal armament had a limited traverse of 21 degrees on each side. For its brought closer defense, Ausf M had a MG 34 of 7.92mm embarked in the compartment of combat.

Le blindage variait entre 8 et 15 mm. Le Marder III Ausf.M était la version ultime de la série des Marders (Marders I & II) et était supérieur aux modèles précédents, avec sa silhouette basse et son compartiment de combat beaucoup plus fonctionnel. D'avril 1943 à mai 1944, BMM produisit 975 Marders III Ausf.M. Le Marder III Ausf.M entra en service dans les Panzerjäger Abteilungen en mai 1943 et fut opérationnel sur tous les fronts. Environ 350 étaient encore en service début 1945.

The shielding varied between 8 and 15 mm. Marder III Ausf.M was the ultimate version of the series of Marders (Marders I & II) and was higher than the preceding models, with its low silhouette and its compartment of combat much more functional. From April 1943 at May 1944, BMM produced 975 Marders III Ausf.M. Marder III Ausf.M entered in service Panzerjäger Abteilungen in May 1943 and was operational on all fronts. Approximately 350 were still in service at the beginning of 1945.

Le Marder III Ausf.M servit également comme base au Grille/Bison Ausf.M armé de l'obusier de 105 mm sIG. On pensa également armer le Panzerjäger 38(t) Ausf.M avec le canon de 75mm PaK L/60 antichar, mais cela ne fut jamais réalisé.

Marder III Ausf.M was also useful as bases in Grille/Bison Ausf.M armed with the howitzer of 105 mm sIG. One also thought to equip Panzerjäger 38(t) Ausf.M with the gun with anti-tank 75mm PaK L/60 , but that was never realized.
