Tricar FN

In 1939, the FN realize the Tricar on behalf of the Belgian Army (3 were however delivered to the Dutch Indies) because the latter lacked a light transport for the small loads. The Belgian Army placed order of 331 specimens but this order was partially respected before May 1940. Tricar was based on the FN M12. Several versions were carried out like a light supply vehicle, a personnel carrier, an ammunition carrier, a mobile workshop of breakdown service, an anti-fire vehicle, and a Maxim A MG-carrier. An armored version was also studied. In February 1940, the Belgian Army places a new order of 88 Tricar armed with the heavy machine gun of 13.2 mm Hotchkiss. However none was delivered before May 10, 1940.
